What is Fusion?
Fusion is a family based youth ministry. God's plan was for the church to support the family, and for the family to be the front-line of ministry within the home. Teenagers may glean some truths and principles from youth leaders, but the greatest influence in their lives will remain their parents." We believe youth ministry should ‘fuse’ with family ministry in the church and focus on the following five (5) things: worship, discipleship, evangelism, fellowship and ministry.
Fusion is the weekly gathering of The Body Student Ministry and a place where youth and God become one. We’re dedicated to providing a place for students (6th -12th grade) to connect with God, with other students, and with leaders that are dedicated to seeing students grow closer to Christ. Our youth program is designed to meet the spiritual needs of the youth through dynamic Bible lessons, fun social events, and opportunities to serve the Lord in and outside of the church, activities that allow sharing the gospel through word and action where the youth attend school, neighborhoods they live in and in our communities.
Ways to Get Involved!
There are many ways to get involved with the youth ministry. Providing snacks, chaperoning larger events, driving to and from places are just some of the ways you can help. Parents, please consider being a volunteer for our youth group. You can contact JoAnne Fowler to find out about future events and ways that you can help!
What is the best way for youth to get involved? What can I expect?
Come to any of our meetings anytime! We meet every Sunday night 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm. On Sunday mornings the youth join the church in its corporate worship service. During youth meetings we have time for hanging out, prayer, praise to our Lord, a lesson from God’s Word, game time, and snacks. It is important to get a youth group newsletter and/or calendar and to check the website and Face Book pages often to make sure you are aware of our activities, studies and any special announcements.
What sort of events do you have?
There is a variety of things that we do! We strive to do things which will appeal to all youth. Parties, Skating, Laser Tag, Game Nights, Movie Nights, Video Game Nights, Paintball, Mission Trips, Visiting a variety of service organizations in our community, Lock-Ins and many many more. The list could go on and on.
Who runs the youth group?
JoAnne Fowler, our senior pastor’s wife, is the lead person for our Youth Team Leaders. Other team members include Glenn Lewis, and Brian Reed. The team is responsible for the youth group, its teaching, and activities. There is also a group of dedicated volunteers that assist in the youth ministry, as well as receiving much support from Pastor Tim Fowler, our senior pastor.
