Senior Pastor Tim

I was born a poor black child...not really, but I do love that line and the humor that comes from some of the older comedies like The Jerk, (the movie that this opening line comes from). With that and a bit more information, it would be easy to figure out that I might be about 50 years old.

God called me into the ministry after I had served 9 years in the Navy, owned my own business, and worked for many people that I did not want to work for. God has been my best boss ever.  I have been in the ministry for 30 years and pastor of The Body for 17 years.  I have worked for Him with youth, as an associate pastor, and for the last 17 years as a senior pastor.

I have completed my Master’s in Theology and although I am still working toward my Doctorate, I feel as though I am smart enough and may never finish it. Okay, that is not true, but I need an excuse for it taking so long to finish it.

For 41 years, I have been married to my wife JoAnne. We have 3 grown children who have blessed us with 9 grand kids. We also have 2 dogs, one of which thinks that she is human.  We like to ride motorcycles, travel, scuba dive, hike and spend time sleeping.  I also enjoy fishing, golf, and I am a huge Gamecocks and Braves fan.

The Body is the church that I have always dreamed of serving as pastor. The people are real, the ministry is real, and God has truly blessed me to be here.

I would like to take this opportunity to personally invite you to join us for any of our activities at The Body.
